What is your role and how long have you worked at The Institutes?

Director of The Institutes CE Solutions; 6 months.

What inspired you to get into your current role?

I love insurance and education; this was a way to put my two passions together.

What accomplishments are you most proud of professionally and/or personally?

From a professional perspective, obtaining my Masters in Risk Management and Insurance. I always wanted to continue my education and having the option expand in my career field was a no brainer for me. Personally, I have a son graduating high school this year and I am one proud mama!

What is something most people don't know about you?

I ran hurdles in high school. I just might be able to do them now if I tried 😉.

What does Black History Month mean to you?

Having a month dedicated to celebrating those Black Americans that came to this country and pursued dreams despite the disadvantages is empowering. It has been a pleasure to speak to my children and expand the knowledge they have on how Black Americans contributed to things that we use every day. It is a great feeling for my children to be represented and know that no matter the struggle, there is still great examples to follow of just what is possible.
